As we prepare for Annual Conference this June, we want to remind you of the changes approved at our 2023 Annual Conference related to our conference rules in regards to resolution submissions for conference consideration. 

For resolutions to be considered at Annual Conference, they must be submitted 90 days in advance of the conference session. Resolution submissions for our 2024 Annual Conference must be received by March 8, 2024. They must be submitted to Conference Secretary Sarah Estep by that deadline and can be emailed to conferencesecretary@wvumc.org. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation that it has been received including the date it was received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, please call the Conference Secretary at (304)344-8331, ext.230.

Resolutions can be submitted by individuals, local churches, parishes, or districts and shall be clearly identified as to authorship. It would be helpful for resolutions that require action to include any financial implications to the Conference, identify the implementing entity or individuals, and designate responsible parties for any required communication or referral.
