West Virginia Volunteers in Mision

The mission of Volunteers in Mission is to provide opportunities for persons to experience Christ is a setting other than their normal setting while building relationships. This can be done in many ways and places. It will always require Disciples of Jesus Christ who are willing to allow God to deploy them where they are needed. The heart of missions is being willing to go where God is call you knowing that God is already present.

Short term missions can be different amounts of time and distances, from working here in West Virginia, The United States, and around the world. Another great thing about Short term missions is there is something for everyone to do. Short term mission experiences empower you in your local ministry to seek out how you can connect with your neighbor and community.

The goals for VIM include organizing a minimum of five opportunities to participate in short term missions. This will include opportunities within West Virginia, The United States and around the world. It is our goal to include as many of YOU as possible to engage in not only the physical journey with VIM but more importantly the spiritual journey with VIM.
We understand that not everyone is able to participate by doing the short term missions. However, there are other ways in which you can participate with VIM, financial support all persons who deploy with VIM short term mission go as a representative of their local church they are required to find the finical resources to fund their trip. Also prayer there is no mission that is successful without prayer both before and durning the short term mission.

I ask that you prayerfully consider what and how God would lead to connect with VIM.
