Wesleyan, Southern Districts to host sessions

Does your church need a new website or an upgrade from your old site? Does your web team need training to maintain and update your site?

FREE website training sessions for local church teams are scheduled for Saturday, April 6, in two locations. Each participating church must have at least two people in attendance. Registration is limited to 12 teams in each location. Churches from outside the two host districts are welcome to attend.

In the Wesleyan District, training will be held as part of the Lay Leadership training event at Chapel Hill UMC in Buckhannon from 8am-4:30pm. Contact the district office at 304-745-3676 or Jim Minutelli at 304-745-3676 for information or to register.

In the Southern District, teams will meet at Temple UMC in Beckley from 8:30am-4pm. Call the district office at (304) 252-7985 or contact Scott Mayberry for details and registration information.

Registration deadline for both events is March 1. There is no cost to register.

Websites (either new or updated) will be built on one of two templates customized for West Virginia Conference churches. Participating teams will be contacted by the Conference Communications staff during March for assistance with first-time setup details so that the seminar can be spent learning how to use your website as a marketing tool, and how to load content and maintain the website.

Hosting and domain registration are free for the first year for new websites and churches migrating to the custom template.
