The Laity of Churches from all over the state had a great opportunity to spend the weekend learning from Bishop Sandra Steiner-Ball.  The weekend opened on Friday evening with dinner and an opening Worship Service, provided by multiple laity in the conference.  After that the Bishop gave a brief overview of the book of Philippians.  

Saturday proved to be an exciting day filled with the Bishop filling us with a lot of her knowledge of Paul’s letters to the Philippians.  Attendees were given handouts so that they could further their studies on their own time schedule.  A closing Worship Service with Communion concluded the weekend. The Conference Lay Ministry Team, would like to offer our thanks to the United Methodist Foundation, Bishop Steiner Ball and all those who worked so hard to make this event a success!
