Bible Basics Patches to be offered at 2019 Circuit Rider

By George Hohmann

Two “Bible Basics RP3” patches will be offered during the West Virginia United Methodist Men’s retreat and Circuit Rider 31, Sept. 6-8 at Jackson’s Mill.

The men’s retreat is held every September at Jackson’s Mill. The Circuit Rider, a weekend of activities that regularly draws 400 to 600 scouts, is held in conjunction with the retreat.

The patches are part of a Bible-based religious emblems program for Protestant and independent Christian churches offered by P.R.A.Y. (Programs of Religious Activities with Youth). The program is designed to help families, Sunday school classes, and scouting groups get into the Bible.

The West Virginia United Methodist Men firmly believe that time spent in the Bible can be precious time with God. And, the United Methodist Church believes that scouting is a ministry!

Registration for the class is required. To pre-register contact Bill Atwell, wcatwell@suddenlink.net.

Note: The Tents and Shelters Patch is restricted to those who have earned the Good Book Patch.
