Introduction to Lay Ministry: The BASIC Course
Participants are encouraged to discover and use personal spiritual gifts as God intended and to consider the
and being part of a group that hold members accountable in their discipleship. This class must be successfully completed to take future advanced courses. Instructor will be Rev. Jarrod Caltrider.

Life Together in the United Methodist Connection (UM Polity)
This course gives participants an overview of the structure and organization of The United Methodist Church. A copy of the 2016 Book of Discipline is recommended for this course. Instructor will be Rev. Jim Plyburn.

Leading Worship
This course focuses on the ministry of the lay servant who either regularly or occasionally leads a group or congregation in worship.

All classes are required classes for Certified Lay Speaker as well as can be used as advanced courses for Certified Lay Servant.
