Tools to create a culture of generosity in the local church and agency.

The Academy will be held March 18-20, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday to 11:00 a.m. Friday at Canaan Valley Resort.

The United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia, Inc. wants to help your congregation create a culture of generosity. Join us at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, West Virginia for the Foundation Academy of Faith and Generosity on March 18-20, 2020.

Do you struggle with continually trying to raise funds for mission and ministry?  Have you read the books and nothing seems to change?  Growing Generosity is dedicated to equipping pastors and laity to change the generosity culture in your church.

You will explore what generosity means and why it is so much more than simply paying bills and meeting the budget.  You will leave with a renewed passion for growing generosity in your own life and the life of your church family.  You will also leave with the practical tools and best practices to actually lead and implement what you’ve learned.

The event is open to both clergy and laity. Clergy attendees will earn 12 contact hours of continuing education and lay attendees will earn credit for an advanced course.

We are grateful to offer this high caliber Academy at an affordable cost to attendees.  Much of the cost is covered by The Foundation.  Your $100 registration fee covers the Conference, two nights at Canaan Valley Resort (with a Conference Attendee roommate), four meals, and 12 contact hours (or Advanced Credit for Lay attendees).  Registration fees for private rooms and commuters are also available.
