“You were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only don’t let this freedom be an opportunity to indulge your selfish impulses, but serve each other through love. All the Law has been fulfilled in a single statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.”            Galatians 5:13-14

Those serving in ministerial leadership roles within the West Virginia Conference will have opportunity to gather with colleagues to support each other and learn together as they explore professional boundaries in ministry. Training will be led by Sky Kershner, from KPCC Counseling and Bonnie MacDonald, Director of Leadership Formation & Ministry Staff. In a setting of worship and conversation, these training events will help participants discover resources and guidance for their own contexts, regarding Sabbath, prevention of harm, avoiding risk, and review of Conference policies.

All active clergy, including those in extension ministry are required to participate in these gatherings. Certified Lay Ministers and others serving as “Assigned Supply” are also required to attend. Ministry staff in local congregations should consult with their district superintendent about participation.

Six training events are planned, and participants may choose any one event; registration is required.
