Recovery Point and Trinity UMC Bluefield, Celebrate Recovery Ministry

By WVUMC News

In this age when bad news is the norm, it is a special blessing to be a part of good news. That was the theme on a beautiful Friday evening at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield for a recent Recovery Point graduation celebration.

Recovery Point is a recovery residential facility with locations across West Virginia, including Bluefield. Recovery services are offered to individuals at no cost.

During the graduation ceremony, 15 men from around West Virginia returned to Trinity to celebrate their new lives of freedom from the chains of addiction. Several more were expected, but could not return in time for the celebration.

It was a time to celebrate as we heard the stories of these men who have overcome the odds to stay clean and become productive members of society.

They have been with us at Trinity since the beginning of their recovery. We were as proud and thankful for their success as were the leaders and families present.

Trinity United Methodist Women treated all present, approximately 130, to a reception to honor them and encourage them in their new life. We were blessed to be part of this special time in their lives.
