Portico

Welcome to Portico!

Even before the pandemic of 2020, clergy and laity leaders throughout our Conference have been asking for some type of online learning option. Through a partnership of the UM Foundation and the West Virginia Conference, we are excited to provide these e-Learning opportunities.

This new Learning Management System (LMS) will be another resource to support our Conference mission to Discover, Develop, and Deploy passionate spiritual leaders who make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

At the completion of most courses, you will receive a certificate. Those course completion certificates are each worth one Contact Hour. (Ten contact hours = One CEU)

Our learning portal is called Portico in reference to ancient places where people would gather for learning. An example of this is Solomon’s portico in John 10:23 where Jesus taught and Peter healed the lame man in Acts 3:11.

In order to help you share this, here is a Portico brochure you can print out and distribute. Remember, new courses are added all the time. So check back often to see the latest learning opportunities.

NEW! Portico is now available on your mobile device! Check out the instructions for how to access it.
