The UM General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) offers a wide variety of scholarships to seminary students, providing millions of dollars in scholarship funds each year to help students pay for school.

Students can apply for all scholarships relevant to them simply using one basic application. The deadline to apply is March 5, 2020 for the 2020/2021 school year.

Students who received a GBHEM scholarship for this school year (2019-2020), including the Clergy Excellence Scholarship, need to reapply each year. We encourage all West Virginia Conference seminary students to please take advantage of this amazing gift of our UM connection.

There are also scholarships specifically offered by the West Virginia Conference, including Ministerial Educations Funds (MEF) and Foundations grants. Information will be sent out later this spring regarding those scholarships.
