My time at the Northeast Jurisdictional Conference (NEJC) has been enlightening and has really broadened my horizons. While the plenary sessions can start to drag on sometimes, I feel that our work here is very important.
I have met people of diverse backgrounds from all across the jurisdiction including my roommate, a fellow youth from Brooklyn. His experiences living in NYC are drastically different from mine and by talking to him, we have both greater understood thought processes of those different to us.
While we disagreed on some things (and he admitted he didn’t even know West Virginia was a state), we really grew as people from our interactions and grew in our journey with God. Additionally, the hospitality of the hotel workers and the wonderful worship music have really helped to make this experience worthwhile and enjoyable.
