UM Polity Advanced Course will be taught Mondays, Oct. 25 – Nov. 29 by Rev. Cindy Boggs from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at First UMC Shinnston and also via ZOOM.
Registration deadline is October 15th.
This course gives participants an overview of the structure and organization of The United Methodist Church.
This is a small group study. Attendance at all classes is required to receive credit if you are on the lay servant pathway. There is no charge for this class, but you will need to borrow or purchase the text “The Method of Our Mission” (ISBN-13 # 978-1426767173) on your own – it is available from Amazon in paperback and kindle format, and from Cokesbury (844) 291-7803. Please allow plenty of time for delivery. Registration deadline is Friday, October 15th. We do have a few copies in the district office available for $25.00 (includes postage). If you would like to purchase one of these copies, please call first (304-366-6811) to make sure we still have one left. A syllabus and Zoom information will be sent after registration.
