The Lay Servant Academy is a comprehensive developmental program for laity which helps people identify their calls to ministry and develop skills in caring, leading and communicating ministries. Basic Course: Instructor: Gary Hartsog; The basic course is a primer which provides basic understanding about what it means to be a United Methodist, and the fundamentals necessary for effective leadership.

Leading Worship; Instructor: Rev. Jim Reed; This course is grounded in the principles and practices of worship planning. Whether you plan or lead worship services, or simply seek a better understanding, this class will enrich your worship experience.

A Simple Response to the Opioid Epidemic; instructor: Rev. Barry Ball; West Virginia has the biggest drug problem in the country. We need to understand the problem and respond in kind as ambassadors of Christ. Rev. Barry Ball will explain the drug climate in our state, and offer effective ways to respond. (no book is required for this class)
