Native American Sunday Worship: June 2nd

On Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., the WV Committee on Native American Ministries (CONAM) of the United Methodist Church will hold a special Native American Sunday service at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. This service will be live streamed and can be seen live at wzts.tv.

The service will include music by Mother Earth Beat Drum, Native flute by JF Lacaria, readings from Native sources, a message, “Doxology: Praise from Earth and Sky,” by Elle High, and prayers by Ken Krimmel, minister of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

This service is part of the “Celebrating Our WV Native American Heritage” starting on Saturday, June 1st at the Rehoboth Church and Museum in Union, WV. This event (1:00-4:00 p.m.) will feature Native American drumming, singing, storytelling, displays, church and museum tours, and at 3:00 p.m. a service of “Remembrance and Reconciliation” led by the WV CONAM.
