Annual Conference Offering

By WV UMC Admin

The 2022 Annual Conference will offer opportunity to share our financial gifts with three areas of ministry.

DaySpring Mobile Camping Ministry
DaySpring Mobile Camping Ministry is a ministry of our Spring Heights Camping & Retreat Center, of The West Virginia Conference. In 2021, DaySpring involved 720 children & adults across the conference in discipleship through camping. In 2022, 18 ministry sites from throughout the conference will host DaySpring camps.

UMCOR
As the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Committee on Relief assists United Methodists and churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need. UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human-caused disasters – be it famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire or other events—to alleviate suffering and to be a source of help and hope for those left most vulnerable. UMCOR provides relief, response and long-term recovery grants when these events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own. UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery, and long-term health and development. UMCOR is currently providing needed assistance in Ukraine and many other areas around the world.

The Ministerial Education Fund for the West Virginia Conference

The MEF provides essential financial assistance to those pursuing theological education, credentialing, and continuing education within the West Virginia Conference, reducing student debt and freeing students for flourishing pastoral leadership. In the West Virginia Conference, the MEF assists future and current licensed and ordained clergy.

Your generous financial giving will help to increase the ministry potential through each of these ministry areas. Online and in-person methods for giving will be publicized during Annual Conference.
