Have you visited Portico lately? Portico is the conference’s new online learning platform. You can find it by visiting the conference website (wvumc.org) and clicking on the word “Portico” at the top of the page. Once you register, you will have your own personal learning page with access to over 50 courses.

In Ephesians 4:12 we read about the importance of equipping people for the work of ministry in order to build up the body of Christ, the local church. These online learning courses are one way we can all strengthen ourselves and those in our congregations.

Most of the courses are about 20-minutes in length, and can be taken on your schedule. You also have the ability to start and stop the courses as needed. More courses are added to the platform each month, so check back often.

While the courses can be taken by individuals for personal growth, the real transformation happens when a small group of people (like an Ad. Board) all takes the same course and then spends time together discussing how the information applies to their ministry and how to use the learnings to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
