Congratulations to our 2021 GBHEM scholarship recipients! These college and seminary students received scholarships totaling $44,116 from the United Methodists General Board of Higher Education & Ministry in 2021.

Every United Methodist student who attends college, semiary, or graduate school can apply for thousands of dollars to help fund their education. Our West Virginia Conference generously supports students seeking higher education and links them with additional resources through our denominational connections.

United Methodist General Board of Higher Education & Ministry https://www.gbhem.org/loans-scholarships/  The GBHEM Office of Loans and Scholarships offers financial aid to United Methodist students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. 

United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (https://www.umhef.org/scholarships/ )

UMHEF offers several scholarship opportunities to United Methodist students attending or seeking to attend a United Methodist-related institution of higher education.

West Virginia Conference Ministerial Education Fund https://www.wvumc.org/spiritual-leaders/

The MEF supports seminary students pursuing ordination within the United Methodist Church. By applying for the MEF, students also become eligible for partner funding through The UM Foundation of West Virginia.
