Foundation Awards Seminary, WVWC Scholarships

The United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia, Inc. serves as the trustee of several Seminary Scholarship accounts. We celebrate and congratulate the following seminary students from the West Virginia Annual Conference who were awarded scholarships from these scholarship funds for the 2019-2020 school year: 

  • Mary A. and Dellet George Allen, Jr. Seminary Scholarship to Grace Rapking
  • Joel C. and Gail C. Bennett Memorial Scholarship to Michaela Weaver
  • Rev. Ron Brooks Seminary Scholarship to Shawn Weaver
  • Joseph and Martha Casey Seminary Scholarship to Nathan Epling
  • Roy R. and Sylvia M. Cox Memorial Scholarship to Heather Barker
  • Denver and Belva Goff Memorial Scholarship to Brad Davis
  • Jackson Hillyard Memorial Scholarship to Michaela Weaver
  • Rev. John and Peggy Mendez Memorial Scholarship to Michael Rexroad
  • Rev. Thomas L. Moore Seminary Scholarship to Shawn Weaver
  • George and Kathleen Richards Memorial Scholarship to Brian Daugherty and Sarah Lowden
  • Stewart Chapel United Methodist Church Scholarship to Bronson Clark
  • James C. Redding Ministerial Scholarship to Erin Sears

We also are pleased to announce the recipients of the Dollars for Scholars scholarships.  This is a program of the United Methodist Foundation for Higher Education (UMFHE).  For students who attends West Virginia Wesleyan College, a $1,000 gift from their church can be matched by $1,000 from the UMFHE and $1,000 from the college.  Our Foundation is able to supply a fourth match of $1,000 due to generous gifts from the Estate of Charles E. and Betty C. Rogers.  This year’s Rogers Scholars are:
