SCHED app helps you keep track of AC2019 activities & events

By Kerry Bart

Greetings, members and friends of the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church!

The Conference Communications Team is excited to share with you for the second year in a row an app that we think you’ll find quite handy as you participate in this year’s Annual Conference. It’s called SCHED (pronounced SKED), and it is the conference agenda…online, interactive, and customizable for you. You can view SCHED on your cellphone, tablet, iPad, mobile device, laptop, or desktop computer. You can view agenda items and locations electronically, and you’ll even be able to view worship bulletins on your device!

To view/access/utilize SCHED, go to this website: https://wvumc19.sched.com (note, it will not work if you use “www”). There you can view the agenda, and you can register (SIGN UP) and log in to create your custom calendar. If you access SCHED on a mobile device, you can add an app icon to your home screen by selecting the three-dot icon at the top right toolbar and choosing “Add to Home screen.” This will give you a widget that you can use to conveniently access SCHED.

Once you’ve registered and logged in, you can, if you choose, add a profile picture and write a short biographical paragraph about yourself by viewing the menu on the left (the three parallel bars in the toolbar) and selecting “My profile.” You can also customize your agenda by clicking on an event and adding to your schedule, and you can set your account up to give you text reminders of your events, or a daily overview. One other feature: you can use SCHED to offer feedback about Conference sessions.
