Rev. Bill Dawson of St. Luke’s UMC in Harrisville (Little Kanawha District) and his dog Apollo are visiting local nursing homes to entertain residents and staff.

Apollo was adopted from the Ritchie County Humane Society and has learned 27 tricks. He will also be utilized to raise awareness of the local animal shelter and encourage everyone to “adopt don’t shop.” 

Apollo will also be available for local First Responder agencies to respond during traumatic situations where children are involved.
