Parkersburg churches reach out to federal employees

Parkersburg Urban Ministries, headquartered at St. Paul’s UMC and supported by several Little Kanawha District churches, is opening its food bank, utility assistance, and prescription assistance services to furloughed government employees during the federal government shutdown. Parkersburg is home to offices of the federal Bureau of Public Debt and many of its employees. For more information, click here to view the story as reported by local television station WTAP.
