Website Grants Available!

By Joe Webb

Does your church want a website but hasn’t been able to find the startup costs in the budget? United Methodist Communications and your WV Conference Communications team are here to help!

For a limited time, churches can apply for a Website Development Grant through UMComm that includes one year of free website hosting and domain registration.

Judy Pysell, pastor of the Fenwick/First/Hinkle Mt. charge in Richwood and
Greenbrier District Communications Coordinator, says the grant was a perfect solution for her churches.

“In the world of technology my churches wanted to make a presence but weren’t sure how because our churches are small and finances are tight,” Judy said. “I applied for a website grant for my charge and two days later received a letter saying, ‘Congratulations, you will receive a 2018 Website Development Grant from United Methodist Communications.’ It was simple and it was easy. Do not hesitate to apply…make your presence known!”

In addition, our Conference Communications Team has trainers available in each district to help you build your website on customized templates built just for WVUMC churches by our partners at UMComm.
