Listening sessions scheduled for each District by General Conference delegation

By Deborah Coble

Between now and November 10, the West Virginia Conference delegation to the Special Session of the General Conference called for February 2019 will be holding Listening Sessions in each district, as requested by the 2017 Annual Conference. The listening sessions will be formatted to allow for input from all participants by having facilitator-led table conversations. Because not every delegate can be present at each session, a written record of table conversations will be collected and given to each member of the delegation. Each session will be two hours in length.

For the full report from the Commission on A Way Forward and the proposed legislation before the Special Session, please visit THIS LINK. Please note that there may be other legislation presented and that all legislation is subject to amendments and changes. You can also view Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball’s video reflections on the Commission’s work by following this link.

Please hold the delegation in your prayers as they discern God’s way forward for The United Methodist Church.
