Hundreds of churches and an untold number of individuals in the West Virginia Conference have contributed a record amount of funds to the 2017 Celebration of Mission Event. The amount received now totals more than $125,000.00 for the support of the 7 Conference Mission Projects, Volunteers in Mission and Church and Community Ministries. 100% of funds received are distributed to mission ministries within the WV Annual Conference. Already more than $12,000.00 have been distributed to each of the Mission Projects and VIM, with 1/2 the amount going to each Church and Community Ministry.
In addition to the cash contributions, an estimated $40,000.00 in tangible goods was transported to the Mission Ministries from the locations of the Nine District Celebration of Mission Events.
Contributions for the 2017 Celebration of Mission Event can be sent to the Conference Treasurer on Local Church Remittance Forms until December 31, 2017. At that time another distribution will be made to our Conference Mission Ministries.
Special commendation goes to the 9 District Coordinators, District Offices and District Teams for their dedicated work, along with the many churches and individuals who made the support of our Conference Mission Ministries an important part of their witness and ministry.
