BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF WVUMSM:

Started in 1993 by dedicated students and college ministers, the Annual Conference College Group called itself G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith Together).  In spring of 1997, the name was changed to WVUMSM to fall into place with the national movement (United Methodist Student Movement). Students from all WV Colleges and Universities are invited. Conference pastors are encouraged to get involved also. Each year, students gather in the Fall for a Spiritual Retreat and in the Spring for a Mission Retreat. Students also attend the annual National Student Forum held in various places in the US.
